Course Description

This course introduces the students to the patient-centered care of pregnant persons, newborn infants, and children. Concepts including safety, health promotion, basic care, and comfort of these special populations are addressed, including specific considerations for the nursing care of newborns, children, and clients experiencing complications related to pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period.
