Course Description

This course builds on the content of Nursing I and Nursing II to examine comprehensive nursing care of clients with major health concerns across the lifespan. A client-centered approach to the nursing care of pediatric clients, clients with mental health disorders, as well as selected medical conditions is emphasized. Client assessment, risk factors, expected findings, laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, complications, medications, prevention, treatments, interprofessional care, and client education related to the selected health conditions are addressed. Concepts related to safety, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and informatics are integrated throughout the course.
