Course Description

This is a lecture-based course that includes the study of body systems and functions, including the structure, meaning, and use of medical terms related to diseases and operations of the human body. Body systems studied include integumentary, musculoskeletal, nervous, sense organs, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, reproductive, urinary, digestive, and lymphatic. Units on psychiatry, oncology, radiology, and pharmacology are covered. In addition, students learn how to research medical information.
