Course Description
This course introduces the basic concepts of statistics. Actual computation is minimal; computers are used whenever calculations are necessary. Emphasis is placed on the meaning of statistical results. Content includes sampling, experiments, measurement, organizing data, and statistical indices. Optional topics include probability, time trends, survey design and basic inference concepts.
