Course Description
The content of this course is designed to study sectional anatomy of computed tomography and magnetic resonance images, diagrams, textbook, and anatomical aides (skeleton). Knowledge of sectional anatomy is essential to the technologist in the practice of computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, sonography, mammography, interventional radiography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and as a radiologist assistant in identifying areas of interest, what is normal imaging, and what is abnormal. Cross-Sectional Anatomy is the study of Sectional Anatomy for Imaging Professionals. The course is designed to provide the student with an overview of human anatomy, viewed in body sections, as it relates to the imaging professional.
